Our Process
At Horizon Turf & Greens, we follow a proven five-stage process to ensure every turf installation is durable, functional, and visually stunning.

1. Planning
Every project begins with a detailed plan. We measure the area, account for fixed obstacles like trees or sprinklers, and assess the slope to ensure proper drainage and long-term turf performance.

2. Preparation
We remove 1.5 to 4 inches of sod, soil, and weeds to prevent regrowth, then compact the ground to create a stable, even foundation. A slight slope may be added for natural drainage when needed.

3. Base Installation
A premium base layer—typically crushed granite or limestone—is distributed and compacted multiple times. This ensures proper drainage and creates a strong, even surface to support the turf.

4. Turf Installation
We roll out and trim the turf to fit the space perfectly, secure it with pins or adhesives, and align seams carefully for a seamless, professional finish—even around irregular edges.

5. Infill
We add infill to weigh down the turf, support the blades, and enhance its natural look. Finally, we brush the surface evenly for a smooth, polished appearance and long-term durability.
